How can I tell if I already registered for this race? If you are an RAS Member and always use your membership email and password to check out, you can go here: https://www.runningalliancesport.org/runners/index.php?main_page=login and use the login for Returning Members. Once you have logged in, you will find a link at the top of the page that says My Account. There you can view your orders. NOTE: You will not be able to change any of the runner information, for that you will need to contact us using the Contact form on any of our websites.
Are strollers welcome? Yes. We strive to make this even as family friendly as possible. Please be courteous to other runners by moving toward the back of the group at the starting line though.
Are dogs welcome? We realize dogs are very much a part of many people's families, and they are welcome in this race. Please be courteous to other runners by ensuring your dog is on a leash, and you obey any local city ordinances.
Timing Your chip will be on your bib, which you will get with your packet. The timing tag is attached to the back of your bib. All participants must wear their bib on the front in a way that it can be seen by course officials. Do not forget your bib on race morning. NO BIB, NO TIME. If you forget your bib, you will need to pay $10 to replace it. Non-registered runners and/or bandit runners will be removed from the course. No one will be allowed to finish the race without a bib.
I can no longer make it to the race. Can I get a refund? If you are unable to make it to the race after signing up, your registration fee is considered a donation to the Houston Expedition Center, and a refund will not be offered. We appreciate your understanding on this matter, and you are of course still welcome to pick up your race shirt!
Where should I park? Volunteersmay park in the St Thomas Church parking lot.
PLEASE NOTE Runner parking this year is different! In the past you have been able to park across San Sebastian Ln. in the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church parking lot. THIS YEAR THEY PREFER THAT WE DO NOT, since they have their own event at that time. Instead, please use the parking near the Dollar General at the shopping center on Upper Bay Rd and Space Park Drive (18091 Upper Bay Road, Houston, TX 77058). You will see it on the course map as a red square. Thank you for understanding!
What's the run down on the team event? Individuals can register as a team, and the 3 cumulative fastest times will be used to determine the top overall teams. There is no difference in price for individuals who wish to compete on a team, they will simply enter their team name during registration. It is also possible for a runner to place in an individual category as well as the team competition.
What is the minimum age requirement and do you need a parents or guardian’s consent to participate? The minimum age for the 5K and 10K is 6 years, and we do need the signature of a consenting parent or guardian. No runner under the age of 12 may participate in the 5K or 10K unless accompanied by an adult.
Is there an age limit on the kids k? To participate, there is no age limit for the Kids 1K. In order to be eligible for a prize, kids must be 8 and under.
Where do I pick up my race packet? You may pick up your T-shirt and registration packet at On The Run, located in the Clear Lake shopping center at the corner of Bay Area and Space Center Blvds, 2427 Bay Area Blvd Houston, TX 77058 Thursday, March 29 from 10 am to 6 pm, Friday, March 30 from 10 am to 5 pm You may also pick them up race day morning, at St. Thomas Church, from 6:00-7:15 a.m.
